Important notice: Nebula's launch is planned for Q4 2025.
Official information and announcements will only be released on this webpage and our social media channels.
Today, institutions are perceived as out of balance. Governments and traditional authorities are seen as less competent and ethical than businesses, especially in regulating emerging technologies.
Their approach to innovation is viewed by society as mismanaged, overly politicized, and disconnected from people’s needs and expectations.
These insights are reflected in the 2024 Edelman Trust Barometer which highlights widespread distrust in institutional competence across several key metrics. Trust in leaders to tell the truth is eroding.
In the wake of the 2008 Global Financial Crisis, Bitcoin emerged as a radical alternative to traditional financial structures. Conceived as a means to liberate society from perceived financial oppression and authoritarian oversight, it embodies the promise of a decentralized, trustless future.
However, skepticism persists towards Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies at large. According to Edelman’s 2024 Trust Barometer, only 38% of respondents trust cryptocurrencies, while a 2023 Atlanta Fed survey shows that a mere 0.4% use them regularly for payments.
Has the original crypto-anarchist dream failed?
A Robust Algorithmic Central Bank
Built around a theoretically sound dual-asset model that balances price stability with market responsiveness.

A Bold Reimagining of the Internet
By merging blockchain technology with innovative protocols and governance structures, the Internet Computer aims to create a decentralized, scalable, and efficient computing platform that is posed to significantly alter how we build and interact with software in the future.
Nebula on the Internet Computer
An Ecosystem of Synergy
The Design — At the core of Nebula's design lies an innovative dual-asset stabilization mechanism, designed to be adaptable and resilient.
The Platform — Nebula will fully leverage the technological power of the Internet Computer (IC) to provide a strong and future-proof foundation for scalable and secure integrations, both up and downstream.
The Impact — Nebula will allow users and developers on the IC to interact in a dynamic network enabling the creation of innovative applications, stimulating growth, and expanding value for the IC ecosystem and far beyond.
Each orbit reinforces the others, leading to compound effects that are the cornerstone of Nebula's design.
Nebula has been actively in the works since March 2024.
The first technical paper (62 pages) was released for discussion with selected L1s in September 2024, providing a solid foundation for collaboration and feedback. Simulation tests of the Nebula framework began in mid-October 2024 and have continued at pace since then.
Nebula to be Built on the Internet Computer
Following a rigorous two-way technical due diligence process, the DFINITY Stiftung (Switzerland) has awarded a developer grant to commence Nebula's development on the Internet Computer (IC). Its technology stack fully aligns with Nebula's requirements for scalability, security, and decentralization. It will enable Nebula to service anyone building on the IC, its users, and beyond. Our plan is for Nebula to become the new oil that lubricates the cogs of the web3 across multiple blockchains.
Time to Build.
Initial resources will be scoped and identified, with technical and operational roles clearly defined, to efficiently kick-start the MVP building phase on the IC. It will involve transpiling existing Nebula code, plus building additional libraries in Rust and Motoko, to make Nebula operational on the IC at MVP level. Furthermore, key management responsibilities will be assigned. This will allow us to efficiently scope Nebula's go-to-market (GTM) strategy (including initial discussions towards third-party partnerships) and resource allocation beyond the MVP stage, with the aim to launch in early Q4 2025. During this stage, the necessary steps for setting up the legal structure of Nebula's issuing entity will be taken.
Summer Won't Slow Us Down.
Having completed the MVP stage, building and refinement will be complemented by rigorous operational testing in a sandboxed environment. This critical phase shall ensure that the mechanics function precisely as intended and formally proven in Nebula's technical documentation. Every detail will be operationally scrutinized, leaving no stone unturned. It may be the most demanding period in Nebula's development, but it will also be the most rewarding.
The Moment of Truth.
All going to plan, we plan launching Nebula to the market in Q4 2025. We anticipate the roll-out phase to take about a couple of months, allowing time to address any last-minute issues or adjustments. Launch partnerships will be concluded and publicly announced. While unforeseen challenges may arise in the lead-up, this is the final step in bringing Nebula to life on the IC.
